i told my boss at disneyland i was quitting. she told me instead to try going out to cedar point for a month for a change of pace. the catch was i would be doing portraits instead of caricatures. i figured it would be a good exercise and the trip would be an adventure so i agreed. i ended up hating the gig. live portraits are boring and theres no money in it. i did find time squeezing in some caricatures but they were mostly demos. experimented with the pastel chalk, came up with some decent stuff. had fun with it. didnt get to do it enough tho. i quit my job when the gig was over after all. cedar point was a terrible place to work. some of the rudest guests ive witnessed thus far. try to be as nice as you can and they would go out of there way to insult you. absolutely convinced me ive had my fill of theme parks.
